Blomdalen opens its doors in keeping with tradition when the daffodils bloom, just around the corner of the café. In 2026, the café will be open daily from May 8 to 17, from 10:00 to 18:00.
At the café, you can choose from waffles with shrimp salad, ham spread, or with Lill-Bred’s strawberry jam and whipped cream. In addition, a variety of drinks, semla buns, and classic cakes are available: carrot, rhubarb, and chocolate cake.
Visitors to Blomdalen this year can also enjoy two exhibitions on the farm. A selection of Lars-Erik Aschan’s oil paintings depicting Gullö’s natural landscapes will be on display. In addition, a collection of scanned glass negatives from the early 1900s offers a glimpse into life on the farm and encounters between people. The exhibitions are located east of the main house, next to the old large oak trees, in a small red storage building on the farm, four steps up.
Today, many people visit Gullö to see the daffodils in bloom and to visit the café while Blomdalen is open, as well as to enjoy relaxing summer days in the rental cottages and take part in festivities. Gullö farm, with its forests and agriculture land, carries a long history stretching back centuries—a history not everyone knows. The Gullö Gård rf association aims to highlight the farm’s stories and cultural heritage through exhibitions, new information signs, and guided tours in the future. The association was founded in 2024.
